Egan Law Firm is an employment law firm dedicated exclusively to providing knowledgeable and effective representation in all employment law matters throughout the state of New York. I have been a NY employment lawyer for more than 30 years, concentrating on the workplace legal issues facing both employers and their employees. Because of my broad focus and experience, I am very familiar with the defenses employers use to avoid liability and explain misconduct. When possible, I encourage clients to use constructive discussion and negotiation to settle disputes. However, as a seasoned advocate for employees in court and in administrative proceedings, I can fight aggressively for your cause when litigation is the only remaining choice.

My Practice

I focus my practice on employment law matters, representing employees in cases involving:

  • Harassment on the job, from offers of job-related benefits in exchange for sex to the creation of a hostile work environment based on sex, race or other factors
  • Workplace discrimination, including unfair or unequal treatment based on race, gender, age, disability, pregnancy or other classification
  • Wrongful termination, whether in breach of an employment contract or in violation of the law
  • Severance packages

I also provide counsel to employers, by both minimizing exposure to employee lawsuits like these and defending them in such lawsuits.
